I was reminded on Facebook that two years ago on this day I had a poem published in the Winnipeg Free Press as part of the annual Writes of Spring feature. I have included screenshots of that publication below.
It was a real thrill seeing my work in such a stalwart Winnipeg publication and to know that it was in the hands of many people. I haven't been sending much work out for publication in the last couple years. My main focus has been on my work on my Master's of Education, which had led me to explore more multimodal forms of expression, but it was neat to be reminded of this today.
